Conflux I-V

part of Ground Truthing, solo exhibition at the Francis McCray Gallery, Silver City, NM

Conflux is a series of five drawings depicting river confluences in the Gila and Mimbres river watersheds near Silver City, New Mexico. Rendered with meticulous, repetitive marks, the drawings contemplate both the rendering and dissolving of these waterways and the surrounding ripirian ecosystems. The marks hold multiple meanings: the flow of nutrients, the infiltration of contaminants, or the evaporation of these systems altogether.
